The Cisco IP Telephony solutions, "CallManager" and "CallManager Express", make possible to use the Cisco IP phones 7940, 7960 and 7970 (with colour display) for displaying ad-hoc XML applications on the phones,
in order to implement innovative services. The user can recall the
application pressing the "Services" button and interact with the
application by means of display and phone buttons.
The system needs an external application server, hosting
an HTTP server and the XML application, which interacts with the phones
that invoke the application.
